Kristine Abramowitz, co-owner of Storyopolis Entertainment, has always been passionate about encouraging young children to find their love for reading. She has been instrumental in creating opportunities for children and their families to meet some of the world’s most talented authors and illustrators. She has fun connecting with publishers, librarians, teachers and child development experts to learn the best ways to inspire children to read and to stay current in all that is wonderful in the world of children’s books. She believes that “when you spark that desire in a child to read, their potential is limitless. Learning to effectively express oneself verbally, through the written word and through the visual arts is an exciting journey to success for the children and our community.”
Kristine helped manage and merchandise Storyopolis Children’s Book Store and Art Gallery when it was located in Sherman Oaks, CA. She organizes events, author and illustrator school visits and conducts interviews. She has had the pleasure of interviewing such renowned people as Julie Andrews, Cornelia Funke, Clive Barker and Dan Yaccarino.
Kristine’s knowledge and experience in the world of children’s literature has brought her to The Today Show, Good Morning Texas, as well as, radio and local TV stations. She has been honored by the National Association of Professional Women for being one of their Women of the year for 2011.
